To compete for the Sarah A. Butler Scholarship Fund, students must demonstrate financial need, scholastic ability, community awareness, and the desire to improve themselves through continued education. To be considered, each applicant must:
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) at Georgetown University.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Entering freshman must have a GPA (from their high school) of at least 3.3.
- Complete the application
form including both essays and transcript submission.
- Forward a letter of reference (regarding service to community)
to the office of CMEA, Attn: Butler Fund.
- Submit all application materials no later
than November 21, 2008. Incomplete
applications will not be considered.
Applicants will be judged on their level of service to the community, quality
of writing, thoroughness of their essays, academic standing and
well-roundedness.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by December 19, 2008.
Scholarship funds will be available on January 7, 2009.
