To compete for the Sarah A. Butler Scholarship Fund, students must demonstrate financial need, scholastic ability, community awareness, and the desire to improve themselves through continued education. To be considered, each applicant must:
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) at Georgetown University. Transfer students are eligible to apply.
- Be in your Sophomore, Junior or Senior year at Georgetown University.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- Complete the application form including both essays, transcript submission and reference letter submission by Thursday, October 13, 2011. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Email a letter of reference (regarding service to community) in Word or PDF to the Butler Fund. Please include the author's contact information in the email.
Applicants will be judged on their level of service to the community, quality
of writing, thoroughness of their essays, academic standing and
well-roundedness.
Scholarship recipients will be notified by Friday, December 9, 2011.
